Junior Friends

The Jr. Friends of the Duxbury Free Library encourages our youngest community members to become stakeholders and stewards of the Children’s Library at the DFL.

WHEN: We meet several times throughout the school year after school at the library, just follow the Duxbury FOL and Duxbury Library on Facebook & Instagram for upcoming events!

WHAT: Members will help improve and engage with the library through the following:

Jr. FOL Picks – submit a favorite book to have a “Jr.FOL Picks” sticker on the book or in a display
Adopt-A-Shelf – have a favorite section in the Children’s Library? Jr. FOL members can pick a shelf/area and sign up to keep “their shelf” in order and tidy.
Share your talent – share your artistic side as we design our Jr. FOL bookmark/sticker each year
Vote – help to choose our movies for the summer movie program, programs, and crafts
Suggest – Really liked a book or series that we don’t have? Tell us!
Projects- Help with upcoming special projects in the library

WHO: Chandler and Alden Students are the ideal age for Jr. FOL members, but anyone interested in our mission is welcome to join. Come meet new people, enjoy one of our greatest community assets and make a difference at the library!
