Mission

The Friends of the Duxbury Free Library mission is to enrich the lives of every Duxbury citizen from the youngest to the oldest by promoting, advocating for, and supporting our Library through annual fundraising efforts

Fundraising includes our annual membership drive, annual author event and  the Book Sale Room at the Duxbury Free Library.

What We Do

books at the beach basket.jpg

Our donations  help  the library maintain state accreditation and membership in the Old Colony Network. The network allows library users to borrow from many area libraries.  We also supplement the Library's  materials budget for diverse  programming including, “hot off the press” books,  eBooks, the summer reading program, and scholarships for Duxbury Teens Bookmarks. We also stock the Free Books at the Beach basket at Duxbury Beach!
